Dr Tanya Sharp

Tanya trained in medicine at Oxford University and Imperial College in the UK. She has subsequently spent 20 years practising medicine in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. Tanya initially trained in surgical specialities and is experienced in orthopaedics and sports medicine.

Tanya has always adopted a holistic approach to medicine and is passionate about raising awareness of the benefits of medicinal cannabis for patients in New Zealand. Alongside her experience in cancer management, Tanya has a specialist interest in women’s health, particularly in the role of medicinal cannabis for the management of peri-menopause and menopausal symptoms.
With four teenage children, Tanya is also very aware of the current crisis in young adult mental health management; and is very keen to assist people in this area.
