Dr Idris Anwar

Dr Idris Anwar, MB BCh BAO, is a General Practitioner Trainee based in Wellington, New Zealand. He graduated from the National University of Ireland and has over five years of clinical experience across healthcare systems in New Zealand and Malaysia.

Dr Idris has worked in general medicine, emergency medicine, orthopaedics, and acute care, developing a strong foundation in patient-centred, evidence-based practice. He also has experience in telemedicine and remote healthcare, supporting patients to access care with greater flexibility.

He has a clinical interest in medicinal cannabis, particularly in supporting patients with chronic conditions where conventional treatments have not provided adequate relief, or where additional therapeutic options may be appropriate. Dr Idris takes an individualised approach, ensuring patients are well-informed about the potential benefits, risks, and how to use their treatment safely and effectively throughout their care with CannaPlus+.
