Dr Karla Griffith

Karla grew up in Northwest Auckland and initially studied a Pharmacology degree at the University of Auckland. She then completed undergraduate medical training in Dunedin and Christchurch at the University of Otago. As a Junior Doctor she returned to work within the Auckland region, undertaking various roles at Auckland, North Shore and Waitemata Hospitals.

Some of this time included working as a Registrar in Psychiatry where she also became interested in the therapies, going on to complete further postgraduate training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. More recently she also works as a Research Physician in Clinical Trials.

Karla is delighted to be part of the team at CannaPlus+ and is interested in having a patient-centred approach to healthcare. She particularly enjoys being able to support patients on their health journeys and in strengthening their quality of life in a way that fits their individualised needs.
