Dr Louisa Mein Smith

Louisa graduated from Otago Medical School then moved to Wellington where she worked in various specialties including mental health, public health, medicine and surgery, as well as spending 3 years as an Anatomic pathology registrar.

Throughout her career she increasingly felt the importance of a holistic and individualized approach to care and feels very excited by the direction medicine can be taken in with its increasing understanding of the endocannabinoid system.

She has long been passionate about evidence-based natural medicines and plant extracts and so has found a natural blend of her interests in prescribing medicinal cannabis.
