Dr. Rick Franklin

Dr. Rick Franklin is a highly experienced physician with a diverse medical background, specialising in medicinal cannabis, general practice, and sexual health.

Rick graduated from Otago Medical School in New Zealand and initially worked as a GP in Hong Kong before moving to London, where he trained as a specialist in Sexual Health Medicine. He later completed his training in Auckland and spent 23 years at Auckland Sexual Health, including 10 years as Clinical Director.

In 2015, Rick expanded his expertise by retraining in General Practice, completing his qualifications with both the New Zealand and Australian Colleges of General Practice. From 2018, he started consulting at Taylor Square Private Clinic in Sydney, providing patient-centred care across a wide range of medical concerns. Upon his return to New Zealand in 2024 he is committed to evidence-based, patient-focused care with CannaPlus+
